For over 70 years, the ALPHITAN Group has been ensuring the operational readiness of electronic equipment and electric motors.

The journey began in 1947 with the founding of ABE, a company specializing in winding and electromechanics. Today, we have expertise in all types of rotating electrical systems, as well as the most advanced industrial electronic systems. Born from the convergence of several specialized companies, ALPHITAN has built a strong structure to meet the growing needs of French and European industries.

The ALPHITAN Group

In 2008, the ALPHITAN Group was founded with its headquarters in Bordeaux, centralizing support functions. At that time, ALPHITAN brought together ABE, AEM, and AGEMO, forming a group primarily focused on the "motor" sector.

In 2011, ID-REP joined ALPHITAN, creating a complementary synergy between motor expertise and electronics expertise.

In 2015, ALPHITAN continued its expansion in Germany with the acquisition of ANTECS, which became the group's cornerstone in the country.

In 2024, Waterland Private Equity invested in ALPHITAN to accelerate its growth, positioning the company as the leading reference in the maintenance of complex electronic systems and electric motors across Europe.

It all began in 1947 with the creation of ABE, a company specializing in winding, electromechanics, and more broadly, rotating electrical systems. ABE later became one of the pioneering companies in the formation of the Omega Group.

Next came the creation of AEM, a company specializing in the maintenance of servomotors, including brushless, asynchronous, DC, and stepper motors. Based in L’Aigle (61), AEM dedicated its resources to repairing both obsolete and cutting-edge servomotors.

The company experienced significant growth when it decided to expand its geographical presence. Recognizing the importance of being close to industrial clients, ALPHITAN initiated a series of strategic workshop openings across France. Over 20 years, AEM expanded significantly, establishing four new workshops throughout the country:

  • The first site was inaugurated in the north, between Lens and Valenciennes (59), a key industrial region.
  • A second workshop was opened near Metz (57) to serve the eastern part of the country.
  • Followed later by another near Dijon (21), strengthening AEM’s presence in central France.
  • Finally, AEM established a site near Rennes (35) to provide local service in the west.

ID-Rep: electronic expertise

Created in 1985, ID-Rep specialized in 1991 in the repair of electronic systems for industrial use. Growing demand led ID-Rep to expand its operations, opening a second workshop in Ollioules in 2000, followed by the creation of a workshop in Germany near Koblenz in 2012, and finally, the opening of a workshop in Lyon. In 2011, ID-Rep Electronic joined the ALPHITAN Group, marking the Group’s entry into a complementary and essential sector for its business.
